Quick answer

A nutrition or dietitian clinic is bought on trust and on fit: people search for a specific need (diabetes diet plan, weight management, sports nutrition, child feeding, pregnancy nutrition), then check whether the clinic understands their situation and whether booking is easy. Build one page per need, keep every claim factual, let Google Ads capture people who already search for a dietitian, use local SEO for the neighbourhood and clinic searches, and track booked consultations, not just form fills. ZED has no published case study for a nutrition clinic, so this page explains the method and does not quote results.

Why a nutrition clinic needs its own marketing approach

A dentist sells a procedure that most people already understand. A dietitian sells guidance over weeks, and the patient has to believe that the plan will fit their food, work, family and budget. That changes what the website, the ads and the first phone call must do. The visitor is rarely asking "who is cheapest". They are asking "will this person understand my situation, and will I be judged".

In the UAE the audience is also mixed. Residents search in English and Arabic, many in a hurry between work and family, and a large share contact businesses on WhatsApp before they ever call. A clinic that publishes clear consultation types, location, languages spoken and a visible WhatsApp option removes the biggest friction. Our broader work for healthcare is explained on the medical marketing service page; this page narrows it to nutrition.

Start with the consultation types you actually sell

Most nutrition clinics describe themselves with one sentence ("personalised nutrition plans") and one page. Searchers do not think like that. They type a situation. Before spending on ads, list the consultation types your dietitians are qualified and willing to run, then decide which deserve their own page.

Consultation typeWhat the searcher usually typesWhat the page must answerTypical first question to ask
Weight managementdietitian near me, weight loss clinicHow the first visit works, what is measured, how follow-ups are scheduled, no instant-result languageGoal, medical history shared with your doctor, previous attempts
Diabetes and metabolic nutritiondiabetes diet plan, dietitian for diabetesWho refers, how you work with the patient's doctor, what documents to bringDiagnosis date, treating doctor, recent lab reports available
Sports nutritionsports dietitian Dubai, gym meal planTraining load, supplements policy, body-composition checks if you offer themSport, training days, competition dates
Child and family nutritionchild dietitian, picky eater helpAge range, whether parents attend, how school meals are consideredChild's age, concern, allergies already diagnosed
Pregnancy and postnatalnutrition during pregnancyCoordination with the obstetrician, safe wording, who should not rely on general adviceStage, doctor, existing restrictions
Corporate or group programmesworkplace nutrition talkGroup sizes, topics, location, deliverablesCompany size, goal, date

Each row is a different buyer with a different level of urgency. Mixing them on one page makes the ad promise vague and the landing page weak. If you have only two dietitians and four hours a week for children, do not advertise children's nutrition heavily; send people only to services you can book this month.

Wording that is useful and stays within advertising rules

Health advertising is regulated in the UAE and each emirate and regulator has its own requirements. We are not lawyers and cannot say what your licence allows, so confirm the exact rules with your licensing authority. A practical summary of what clinics check is on our medical advertising rules checklist. Separately, Google Ads and Meta both apply their own health and wellness policies, and weight-related and supplement-related advertising is a sensitive area on both platforms; read the current policy before you write ad copy.

For a nutrition clinic the safe working rules are simple:

  • Do not promise outcomes, speed or a number of kilograms. Describe the process instead: assessment, plan, follow-up.
  • Avoid before-and-after images and testimonials about body change unless your regulator clearly permits them.
  • State qualifications and licence details only as they appear on your official documents.
  • Avoid wording that shames body shape. It performs badly and damages trust.
  • Keep medical conditions as topics you work around with the patient's doctor, not as conditions you "cure".

Google Ads for a dietitian clinic: capture the search that is already happening

Search ads work for nutrition when the person has already decided that they want professional help. The terms that carry that intent contain a role or a place: "dietitian", "nutritionist clinic", "diabetes dietitian", plus an area. Terms such as "healthy recipes" or "diet plan free" are information or bargain hunting and usually waste budget; list them as negatives early (see our guide to negative keywords).

  • Separate campaigns or ad groups by consultation type, so the ad, the page and the first question match.
  • Use location targeting for the areas where your patients can realistically travel, and decide separately if online consultations are offered (see location targeting and radius in the UAE).
  • Run Arabic and English versions only if you can answer in both languages; the comparison in Arabic versus English Google Ads helps you decide.
  • Review the search terms report weekly at the start; the method is in our search terms report guide.

Our Google Ads service is built around ready-to-buy searches, not broad reach. For a clinic that means fewer clicks that are more likely to become consultations.

Local SEO: be found by the neighbourhood and by name

Many nutrition searches are local: "dietitian in Jumeirah", "nutrition clinic near me". Three assets carry most of this: a complete Google Business Profile, a page per consultation type, and reviews that describe the experience rather than body change. Start with our guide to Google Business Profile optimisation and the local SEO guide for medical clinics. If you have more than one branch, give each branch its own page and profile.

Content also helps, but choose topics that answer real questions and avoid medical overreach. A page that explains "what happens in the first dietitian appointment" or "what to bring to a diabetes nutrition visit" converts better than a generic article on superfoods. Plan the topics with the clinic content calendar so that each month has a purpose. More on how we handle search is on the SEO service page.

The website: reduce the steps between interest and booking

A nutrition site should let someone decide in under a minute whether to book. That means the consultation type above the fold, the languages spoken, the location with a map, the dietitian's credentials as officially issued, a short description of the first visit and one clear booking path. Use the clinic website checklist to compare. If the site is old or slow on mobile, a rebuild with our website service often does more than extra ad budget.

Offer two ways to enquire: a short form and WhatsApp. People discussing food and health often prefer to type a message about their situation before calling. The trade-offs between the two are covered in forms versus WhatsApp lead capture.

A hypothetical month: how to read the numbers

The figures below are invented to show the logic, not to predict your results or describe any client.

StepClinic A (hypothetical)Clinic B (hypothetical)
Ad clicks400400
Enquiries (calls, WhatsApp, forms)4040
Qualified enquiries (right service, right area)2032
Booked first consultations1012
Attended consultations710

Both clinics have the same clicks and enquiries, yet Clinic B has better qualification and fewer no-shows, so each unit of ad spend reaches a patient more often. If you only measured form fills you would think the two are equal. This is why you must record the outcome of every enquiry; the logic for cost per patient is in our article on patient acquisition cost for clinics, and no-shows are handled in reducing clinic no-shows with WhatsApp.

Tracking: what to record for a consultation business

  • Calls from ads and from the Google Business Profile, with minimum call length for a qualified call.
  • WhatsApp clicks from the website and from ads.
  • Form submissions with the consultation type selected.
  • The status of each enquiry: qualified, booked, attended, became a continuing client.

Do not store health details in marketing spreadsheets or ad platforms. Record the fact of a booking and the service type, and keep clinical information in your clinic system. The setup of call and WhatsApp measurement is described in conversion tracking for calls and WhatsApp and on the conversion tracking service page.

How we work at ZED

ZED is a digital marketing agency for service companies and clinics. We have no published case study for a nutrition clinic, so we do not quote sector figures. Our medical marketing case study shows the kind of clinic work we do, and the clinic marketing page explains our approach to patient enquiries. When we review an account or a site we look first at tracking, structure, search terms and landing pages, then suggest changes without throwing away the existing history. We give a plan after reviewing your services, languages, areas and website; we do not promise a number of patients or a timeline.

Common mistakes we would look for

  • One generic "nutrition plans" page for every need.
  • Ad copy that promises body results.
  • Targeting the whole UAE for a clinic that sees patients in one area.
  • No separate tracking for calls, WhatsApp and booked consultations.
  • Reviews left without a reply, or replies that disclose patient details (see responding to patient reviews).
  • Starting social media before the booking path works.

Launch checklist for a nutrition clinic

  • Consultation types listed and dietitians confirmed for each.
  • Licence and advertising rules confirmed with the regulator.
  • One landing page per priority consultation type, in each language you serve.
  • Google Business Profile complete, hours and booking link correct.
  • Calls, WhatsApp and form submissions tracked; enquiry status logged.
  • Negative keyword list prepared before the first click.
  • Follow-up routine for enquiries answered within the same working day, as a goal you can really keep.

Plan your clinic's first consultations

Send your consultation types, languages and area. We reply with a preliminary plan and no promise of a fixed number of patients.
