A good web design company in Dubai builds a site around enquiries: English and Arabic pages written for real searches, fast loading on mobile data, WhatsApp and call buttons on every screen, focused landing pages for ads, and tracking that shows which page produced each lead. Cost depends on page count, languages, custom design, integrations, content and support, so compare quotes by scope, not by headline price.
What a service-business website in Dubai actually has to do
A clinic, a cleaning company, a law firm or a contractor does not need a website to win design awards. It needs a site that turns a stranger on a phone into a message or a call within a minute. In Dubai that stranger may be reading in English or Arabic, may be comparing three tabs from a search, and will often leave the moment a page loads slowly or hides the contact button.
So before discussing colours or animations, a serious web design brief answers four questions: who is visiting, what are they searching, what should they do next, and how will you know they did it. Everything else follows. Our website design service is built around these questions, and the rest of this page shows how to apply them whoever you hire.
The five building blocks of a lead-generating UAE website
1. Bilingual done properly
Adding an Arabic button that leads to a machine translation is worse than having no Arabic at all. Proper bilingual design means each language has its own written copy, the Arabic layout runs right-to-left without broken menus or reversed icons, and search engines can tell the versions apart through clean URLs and hreflang tags. If Arabic searches matter for your business, the Arabic pages should be planned with keyword research, the same way you would plan the English ones with our SEO team.
2. Mobile speed you can measure
Most visitors arrive on phones. Google's Core Web Vitals give clear targets: Largest Contentful Paint within 2.5 seconds, Interaction to Next Paint within 200 milliseconds and Cumulative Layout Shift of 0.1 or less, measured at the 75th percentile of visits (web.dev). Ask your designer which of these the finished site will be tested against, and request a report before launch. Heavy sliders, uncompressed photos and unnecessary plugins are the usual culprits.
3. WhatsApp-first conversion
In the UAE many customers would rather send a short WhatsApp message than fill a form or call. Your site should make that effortless: a visible WhatsApp button on every page, a pre-filled message that says which page or service the visitor came from, and a tap-to-call option next to it. WhatsApp's own help centre explains that click-to-chat links can carry a pre-filled text in the link itself (WhatsApp Help Center), which is how you know whether a chat started on the "deep cleaning" page or the "move-out cleaning" page. More ideas on using the channel well are in our guide to WhatsApp marketing for businesses.
4. Landing pages for ads
Sending paid traffic to your homepage wastes budget. Every important ad campaign deserves a focused page with one service, one area or audience, and one main action. Our article on building a landing page for Google Ads explains the structure in detail, and our Google Ads service builds campaigns and pages together so the message matches from ad to page.
5. Tracking from day one
If the site cannot tell you which page brought which enquiry, you are guessing. Tracking should record WhatsApp clicks, calls, form submissions and, where possible, which ad or search query started the visit. Our guide to tracking calls and WhatsApp conversions covers the set-up, and our conversion tracking service can do it for an existing site too.
Website vs landing page vs both: a quick decision table
| Your situation | What to build first | Why |
|---|---|---|
| New business, plans to run Google Ads immediately | One or two landing pages, then a small website | Ads can start quickly; the website supports trust and SEO later |
| Established business, old or slow site, enquiries mainly from Google | Website redesign with a redirect plan | Protects existing rankings while fixing speed and conversion |
| Several distinct services (e.g. clinic with many treatments) | Website with a page per service, plus landing pages for the most profitable ones | Each service can rank and be advertised on its own |
| Serving English and Arabic customers equally | Bilingual website from the start | Retrofitting Arabic later usually costs more and breaks layouts |
| Mostly referrals and social media | Compact site focused on trust: services, work examples, reviews, contact | Visitors arrive already interested and want reassurance |
What should be on each key page
Use this as a checklist when reviewing a designer's wireframes. It applies to service pages and landing pages alike.
- A headline that states the service and, where relevant, the area or audience, in plain words.
- WhatsApp and call buttons visible without scrolling on a phone.
- Two or three proof elements: real work photos, short case examples, genuine reviews, licences where your sector requires them.
- What happens after contact: how a quote or appointment works, in a few lines.
- Prices or price factors if you can share them; vague pages lose comparison shoppers.
- Answers to the questions customers ask on WhatsApp every week.
- Fast-loading, compressed images and no auto-playing heavy video at the top.
- Arabic and English versions that each read naturally.
Clinics have extra requirements around doctors, treatments and booking; our clinic website checklist goes deeper on those.
Not sure what your site needs?
Send us a link to your current site (or a short description of your business if you have none), the services you want more enquiries for, and the languages you serve. We reply with an initial plan: page list, what to fix first and how we would track results.
What drives website cost in the UAE
Quotes in Dubai can differ several times over for what sounds like the same website. Usually they are not the same website. Instead of comparing totals, compare what each quote includes against these factors:
| Cost factor | Questions to ask |
|---|---|
| Number and type of pages | How many unique layouts? Are service pages written individually or copied from a template? |
| Languages | Is Arabic included? Who writes it? Is right-to-left layout tested on mobile? |
| Design approach | Custom design, adapted theme or page builder? Who owns the design files? |
| Content | Who writes the copy and sources photos? Is SEO research part of the writing? |
| Integrations | Booking, CRM, payment, WhatsApp, maps, chat? Which are included and which cost extra? |
| Tracking and analytics | Are conversion events for WhatsApp, calls and forms set up and tested? |
| Speed and quality testing | Will Core Web Vitals and mobile layouts be checked before launch? |
| Hosting, maintenance and support | What is the yearly cost? Who updates plugins and fixes issues? Is backup included? |
| Migration and redirects | For redesigns, is a redirect map from old to new URLs included? |
We do not publish fixed website packages because these factors change the scope too much. If you send a brief, we quote against it line by line.
A simple website brief template
A clear brief gets you comparable quotes and a faster project. Copy these points into a message or document and fill them in:
- Business summary: what you do, where you operate in the UAE, and who your best customers are.
- Goal: the main action you want (WhatsApp message, call, booking, quote request) and roughly how many enquiries you handle today.
- Services to feature: list them in order of importance and profit.
- Languages: English, Arabic or both, and who will supply or approve each.
- Traffic sources: Google search, ads, social media, referrals. Note any campaigns planned for launch.
- Existing assets: current site, logo, brand colours, photos, videos, reviews.
- Integrations: booking system, CRM, payment, WhatsApp Business number.
- Examples: two or three sites you like and why, and one you dislike.
- Constraints: launch date, approvals needed, licensing or sector rules that affect content.
Common website mistakes we see in Dubai
- A homepage video that takes seconds to load on mobile data, pushing the contact button off-screen.
- A single "Services" page that lists everything, so nothing ranks and ads have nowhere specific to land.
- Arabic pages left half-finished, with English menus or untranslated buttons.
- A WhatsApp button that opens a generic chat with no context, so staff cannot tell what the customer wants.
- No tracking, so the business cannot see whether the new site is producing more enquiries than the old one.
- The domain registered in the developer's personal name, causing problems years later.
Different sectors, different priorities
Home services companies need fast quote flows and area coverage; see our home services marketing approach. Law firms need trust content and clear practice-area pages, as covered in marketing for law firms. Visual businesses, from interior design to real estate, benefit from short videos and galleries; our content video service can supply material for the site. You can browse examples of our design work in the ZED portfolio.
How we work at ZED
ZED Marketing is a remote digital-marketing agency working with businesses in the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Egypt in English and Arabic. We build websites and landing pages as part of a wider system with Google Ads, SEO, social media, content videos and conversion tracking, so the site is designed for the traffic it will receive. We start from your brief, agree the page list and tracking plan with you, and make sure accounts and domains stay in your name. Contact is by WhatsApp or phone, and we will tell you honestly if a smaller site or a single landing page is enough for your stage.
Website design questions from UAE business owners
How much does a website cost in Dubai?
Prices vary widely because they depend on the number of pages, whether you need English and Arabic, custom design versus a template, integrations such as booking or CRM, who writes the content, and ongoing hosting and support. Send us your brief on WhatsApp and we will reply with a quote based on your actual scope.
How long does it take to build a business website in the UAE?
A focused service website with a handful of core pages is usually a matter of weeks, not months, if content and approvals are ready. Projects slow down mainly when copy, photos or Arabic translations arrive late, so preparing them early is the best way to keep the timeline short.
Do I really need an Arabic version of my website?
If you serve Emirati or Arabic-speaking customers, or want to rank for Arabic searches, yes. It should be written for Gulf readers and laid out right-to-left properly, not machine-translated. Many businesses start with Arabic versions of their main service pages and expand later.
Should my website use WhatsApp or a contact form?
Both, but in the UAE WhatsApp is often the preferred first contact. Give visitors a WhatsApp button with a pre-filled message, a tap-to-call button and a short form for people who prefer it, then track all three so you know which works.
What is the difference between a website and a landing page?
A website explains your whole business and supports SEO across many services. A landing page is a single focused page built for one campaign or service, usually for paid ads, with one main action. Most service businesses running Google Ads benefit from both.
Who owns the website and domain after launch?
You should. Make sure the domain, hosting account, analytics and any paid plugins or themes are registered in your company name, and that you receive admin access at launch. Ask about this in writing before you sign.
Can you redesign my existing site without losing Google rankings?
A redesign can keep or improve rankings if URLs, page content, redirects and metadata are planned before launch. The risk comes from changing addresses or deleting pages without redirects. Ask for a redirect map as part of any redesign.
